For additional information on the firm, please visit www.simmons-simmons.com. Main purpose of the role: Our client is seeking a skilled contentious litigation lawyer to join the team in Hong Kong. Advise on legal provisions and assess evidential sufficiency for proceedings in various courts and tribunals. Oppose applications before the Securities and Futures Appeals Tribunal (SFAT). Conduct civil litigation and defend judicial review applications in higher courts. Prepare cases for hearings and manage subsequent appeals before the MMT and SFAT. Prosecute offences in the Magistrates’ Court. Act as instructing solicitor for trials and appeals in the Magistrates’ Court. Person specification: Hong Kong qualified lawyer with minimum 5 years PQE. Strong knowledge of securities law and litigation experience. Experience in litigation management, case preparation, and appellate advocacy. Effective communication and collaboration with different internal divisions.
