The position serves as the primary business owner for TCL Mobile's third-party field marketing agency, overseeing program strategy, staffing and coverage plans, performance management, budget allocation, and return on investment. This individual will establish program objectives and performance metrics, evaluate field execution through regular market visits, and hold external agency partners accountable for delivering measurable business results.

In addition, this role owns TCL Academy, TCL Mobile's retail training and advocacy platform, including platform management, content effectiveness, user engagement, sales incentive performance, reporting, and fraud prevention. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, analytical capabilities, vendor management experience, and hands-on knowledge of wireless retail channels to translate business priorities into effective field execution and sustainable sales growth.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

Field Marketing Strategy & Retail Execution

Field Strategy & Program Planning: Develop annual and quarterly field marketing strategies aligned with TCL Mobile's sales objectives, channel priorities, product launches, promotional campaigns, and broader business goals.

Market Coverage & Resource Allocation: Translate wireless carrier and national retail partner priorities into market coverage plans, store prioritization, field staffing requirements, launch support, and retail training initiatives.

Retail Execution & Sell-Out Performance: Monitor field activities, store-level execution, product visibility, sales performance, and retail engagement to identify opportunities to improve sell-out and strengthen TCL Mobile's retail presence.

KPI Development & Performance Management: Establish and maintain field performance scorecards, program KPIs, and reporting standards to evaluate productivity, market coverage, retail execution, and business impact.

Market Intelligence & Business Insights: Gather competitive intelligence, retailer feedback, field observations, and market trends to identify business opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to Sales, Channel Marketing, Product, and leadership teams.

Product Launch & Promotional Support: Coordinate field execution priorities for new product introductions, promotional campaigns, and other key commercial initiatives to ensure retail teams have the knowledge, resources, and support needed to represent TCL Mobile effectively.

Third-Party Agency Management & Governance

Agency Relationship Management: Serve as the primary business owner for TCL Mobile's third-party field marketing agency, establishing program objectives, service expectations, staffing requirements, operating standards, and performance expectations.

Agency Performance & Accountability: Monitor agency performance against agreed-upon KPIs, service levels, staffing plans, and execution standards. Partner with agency leadership to address performance gaps and implement corrective actions.

Field Workforce Oversight: Hold agency leadership accountable for recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, employee retention, and timely replacement of field personnel in accordance with contractual expectations.

Operating Reviews & Business Planning: Lead regular operating reviews and quarterly business reviews covering field performance, staffing, market coverage, budget utilization, business risks, and improvement plans.

Territory & Coverage Optimization: Partner with agency leadership to evaluate territory design, store coverage, market prioritization, and resource allocation based on sales potential, retail partner needs, and program effectiveness.

Vendor Governance & Cross-Functional Coordination: Maintain clear accountability between TCL's program oversight responsibilities and the agency's employment and personnel management responsibilities. Partner with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders on vendor governance and contractual requirements.

Market Visits, Field Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

Market Visits & Store Audits: Conduct regular market visits, ride-alongs, and retail store audits to evaluate field personnel effectiveness, product knowledge, selling capabilities, retailer relationships, merchandising, and training quality.

Execution Validation: Independently validate agency reporting and field activity through firsthand observations, store-level assessments, and performance data analysis.

Performance Gap Identification: Document field execution gaps, identify root causes, and work with agency leadership and internal stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans.

Best Practice Development: Identify successful approaches in high-performing markets and develop recommendations to improve consistency, productivity, and retail execution across supported locations.

Field Feedback & Program Optimization: Translate observations from store visits and field personnel into actionable recommendations for product training, sales messaging, promotional execution, and future program planning.

Budget Management, Vendor Evaluation & ROI

Budget & Investment Management: Manage the approved TCL Mobile field marketing budget, monitor spending against plan, and recommend resource allocation based on business priorities, market potential, and measurable performance.

Program Effectiveness & ROI Analysis: Evaluate the effectiveness of field marketing investments using supported-versus-unsupported market comparisons, sell-out trends, store performance, retail execution, advocacy, and other agreed-upon business metrics.

Market Coverage & Cost Analysis: Assess field coverage, staffing models, program costs, and market performance to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximize return on investment.

Competitive Benchmarking: Benchmark TCL Mobile's field marketing capabilities, retail coverage, program costs, and execution practices against competitors and relevant industry standards.

Agency Evaluation & Sourcing Support: Periodically assess alternative third-party field marketing providers and operating models. Support RFPs, vendor evaluations, scopes of work, contract renewals, and vendor selection in partnership with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and business leadership.

Financial Reporting & Recommendations: Prepare program performance and budget reports, identify investment risks or opportunities, and present data-driven recommendations to leadership regarding program structure, market coverage, and resource requirements.

Platform Ownership & Vendor Management: Own TCL Academy's strategy and ongoing performance as TCL Mobile's retail training and advocacy platform, including management of the third-party learning management system (LMS) or SaaS provider, service levels, platform capabilities, reporting, and continuous improvement.

User Acquisition & Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to grow verified membership, active users, repeat participation, and engagement through relevant training content, product launches, contests, and sales incentive programs.

Training Content & Calendar Management: Partner with Product, Sales, and Channel Marketing to maintain a timely content calendar supporting TCL Mobile products, promotions, competitive selling, and key retail initiatives.

Platform Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor membership growth, active users, training participation, content engagement, course completion, user retention, sales submissions, incentive performance, and other platform health metrics.

Sales Incentive Program Management: Monitor retail sales incentive and submit-a-sale programs to evaluate participation, performance, cost effectiveness, and contribution to sales objectives.

Fraud Prevention & Program Controls: Establish and maintain controls to identify duplicate accounts, invalid sales submissions, unusual activity, and potential fraud or abuse. Coordinate investigation, validation, and remediation with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.

Platform Optimization & ROI: Analyze platform performance, training effectiveness, user behavior, and incentive outcomes to recommend improvements that strengthen retail advocacy, improve product knowledge, increase participation, and support measurable sales results.
