01ABOUT YOU

• You are an experienced IT infrastructure delivery professional with a strong
• track record of leading complex projects and driving technology transformation

within a global organisation. You combine strategic thinking with strong

leadership and project delivery capabilities, enabling you to manage competing

priorities, coordinate resources and deliver successful outcomes. Comfortable

engaging with senior stakeholders and technical teams, you are skilled at

translating business requirements into deliverable project plans and thrive in a

collaborative, fast-paced environment where you can drive change and continuous

improvement.

Required skills and experience:

• Proven experience delivering complex IT infrastructure projects or portfolios
• within a large, global organisation.
• Broad technical understanding of networks, data centres, cloud platforms,
• identity and access management, end-user computing and security
• infrastructure.
• Experience delivering cloud initiatives, particularly within Microsoft Azure
• environments.
• Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to coordinate and develop
• teams, engineers, architects and external suppliers.
• Experience developing strategic roadmaps, prioritising projects and managing
• resources, budgets, risks and delivery timelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with
• the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a
• commercially aware and adaptable approach to project delivery.
• Desirable:
• Project or programme management qualification.
• Experience of transitioning infrastructure from on-premises environments to
• public cloud.

02ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

• This is an exciting opportunity to join Intertek's Group IT team and lead the
• delivery of strategic infrastructure projects across our global operations.
• Working closely with senior business leaders, IT teams and external partners,
• you will be responsible for shaping the infrastructure project roadmap,

overseeing delivery and ensuring initiatives align with business priorities. The

role offers the opportunity to drive cloud migration and infrastructure

modernisation, influence global technology transformation and lead a small team

dedicated to delivering successful project outcomes.

Key activities:

• Own and develop the global IT infrastructure roadmap, aligning project
• priorities, funding and resources with business objectives.
• Manage the infrastructure project portfolio, overseeing demand,
• prioritisation, planning, delivery and operational handover.
• Lead infrastructure projects across networks, data centres, cloud platforms,
• identity, end-user computing, collaboration and security technologies.
• Drive cloud migration and infrastructure modernisation initiatives, ensuring
• successful delivery against agreed milestones.
• Partner with the IT PMO, engineering teams, regional IT teams and suppliers
• to coordinate resources and project dependencies.
• Oversee project budgets, risks, issues and delivery performance, ensuring
• projects are completed effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure infrastructure solutions meet required architecture, performance,
• security, scalability and compliance standards.
• Provide regular project updates and reporting to senior stakeholders,
• highlighting progress, risks and key decisions.
• Lead and develop two delivery co-ordinators, supporting team performance,
• collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Ensure effective transition of completed projects into operational support,
• capturing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to enhance future
• delivery.
