Log my Care, an NHS-assured SaaS platform for learning disability providers with 2,000+ active users, is seeking an experienced fractional CPO to lead product transformation during a critical growth phase. The role is 2–3 days/week (one day on-site in Holborn), 6-month initial term reporting to the CTO, with explicit handover to a permanent hire. This is a high-calibre advisory engagement for an executive who can install operating models, drive AI-enabled product delivery, and align sales/product without becoming a feature factory.

Fractional CPO — the balanced verdict

Why this role stands out
  • Explicitly fractional and interim—no ambiguity; ideal for portfolio executives.
  • Clear scopeoperating model, product strategy, AI tooling, team coaching, and hiring the permanent CPO.
  • Mission-driven B2B SaaS in UK health tech with proven product-market fit and NHS credibility.
  • Reporting to CTO signals technical rigour and AI-first culture.
  • One consistent on-site day reduces friction for hybrid/distributed fractional engagement.
Worth checking before you apply
  • No day rate stated; agree terms upfront given the seniority and transformation scope.
  • 6-month term is relatively short; clarify renewal odds and handover expectations with permanent hire.
  • Three PMs and two designers to coach suggests some operational load; confirm bandwidth against the stated 2–3 days/week.

The role At Log my Care our mission is to enable providers to deliver proactive care; anticipating needs, preventing issues before they arise, and giving supported people the best chance at healthier, happier lives. Over 2,000 providers across the UK already use us to deliver safer, smarter care, and we're one of the NHS-assured DSCR suppliers. The company is at a key inflection point; having already found product-market fit, we're focused on becoming the definitive platform for learning disability providers. The opportunity ahead is considerably larger than what we have achieved so far, but getting there will require sharper commercial focus, product strategy, and more efficient ways of working. We are looking for a fractional Chief Product Officer to help lead us through this transformational period in the business. AI has already reshaped our engineering function, which now ships at real pace. The prize is doing the same for product and design, making good decisions faster, leveraging AI to turn ideas into products without the quality dropping, and streamlining the launch processes. You'll lead three squads (3 PMs, two designers, product marketing), working closely with the leadership team and the CTO to establish solid product foundations, close alignment with GTM and a product strategy the whole company rallies behind. What you'll own The operating model. How work gets prioritised, scoped, designed and launched, striving for efficient ways of working. Especially roadmap prioritisation and communication. How the roadmap is built, how it changes, reducing friction in how sales and CS get their work prioritised, and how clearly we can talk about it internally and to the board. Product Strategy: Creating company-wide clarity and alignment on product strategy to enable faster decision making and delivery. AI enabled product and design. Tooling foundations for insight, analysis and prototyping; an AI-enabled design system; a fast-track path from scope to prototype to ship The team. Coaching and developing three PMs and two designers, raising the bar on levelling and hiring. Hiring: lead the hiring process for the long-term Head of Product What we're looking for A track record as a product leader in VC backed vertical SaaS, operating models you've installed, and the measurable difference they made to speed or predictability. Evidence of leading AI Transformation: changing how a function works with AI to deliver real value Experience building product–sales alignment in B2B SaaS, without tipping into a feature factory Background building mission driven product, or tech-for-good Track record as fractional CPO is a plus: ruthless prioritisation, delegation and deep experience to fall back on Practicalities Two to three days a week on a consistent pattern. One day (Weds or Thursday) in the Holburn head office. Initially six months, then likely a handover to a permanent hire you've helped us find. Reporting to the CTO. Engaged on a consultancy basis.
