Description

  • Firm Overview:

Founded in 2003, PEG Companies is a real estate investment firm focused on multifamily, hospitality and build-to-rent assets. PEG currently manages approximately $2B of AUM across seven commingled funds and various separate accounts.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented early-career professional to serve as Chief of Staff, supporting the firm’s investor relations, investor communications, and investment-related initiatives. Working closely with the Interim CEO, the successful candidate will help keep priorities moving, prepare accurate and polished materials, coordinate across teams, and provide responsive, professional support to investors and internal stakeholders. This role offers a recent graduate meaningful exposure to real estate investment, capital partners, and executive decision-making; prior chief of staff experience is not required.

Responsibilities:

Investor Relations and Communications

  • Support the preparation and distribution of investor updates, quarterly reporting packages, presentations, and other communications in partnership with investment and finance teams.
  • Coordinate investor inquiries and requests, track follow-up items, and help ensure timely, accurate, and professional responses.
  • Maintain investor contact information, communication logs, reporting calendars, and organized records in relevant systems.
  • Assist with investor meetings, calls, and events, including scheduling, presentation materials, logistics, and follow-up.
  • Proofread and quality-check investor-facing materials for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and formatting before review and approval.
  • Investment Management and Special Projects
  • Collect and organize property-, portfolio-, and fund-level information for investor reporting, presentations, and other capital partner materials, working with subject-matter experts.
  • Conduct preliminary research, summarize information, and prepare concise summaries, reports, and presentation materials for investor discussions and firm priorities.
  • Track investor-related deadlines, reporting deliverables, and cross-functional projects, escalating risks and ensuring follow-through.
  • Identify opportunities to improve investor communications, reporting workflows, document organization, and internal coordination.
  • Interim CEO Support and Strategic Coordination
  • Support the Interim CEO with preparation for priority meetings and decisions, including agendas, briefing materials, executive correspondence, meeting notes, and follow-up on key commitments.
  • Provide selective executive assistance as needed, including coordination of high-priority scheduling, meeting logistics, and occasional travel arrangements, while helping the Interim CEO maintain focus on strategic and investor-related priorities.

Coordinate with internal leaders and external stakeholders on Interim CEO priorities, track time-sensitive initiatives, and prepare concise updates and presentations to support execution.

Requirements

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Communications, or a related field required.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong grammar, proofreading, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Professional judgment, confidentiality, and comfort interacting with senior leaders and external investors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability and willingness to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong analytical curiosity and ability to work with financial and operational information with guidance.
  • Proactive, service-oriented attitude, adaptability, and willingness to handle both administrative details and substantive projects.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to tolerate prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at desk.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard and tolerate prolonged periods performing work using a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard.
