Are you ready for duty? The role As Working Student – German Engineering Support, you will support our Engineering department in creating and refining technical documentation in German.
You will play a vital role in helping ensure technical clarity and precision in support of the F126 project – the largest naval programme ever commissioned by the German Navy. You will work closely with our System Safety engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Join us at Damen Naval in Vlissingen as a Working Student – German Engineering Support (Interim) and contribute directly to high-tech naval innovation. Key accountabilities As Working Student - German Engineering Support your key responsibilities will include: Translate technical documents and templates between English and German.
Edit and proofread existing German technical documentation. Assist engineers in developing new documentation and communication materials.
Support with administrative and expediting tasks in the Engineering department. Collaborate closely with System Safety Engineers and other project stakeholders.
Skills & experience As Working Student - German Engineering Support, you should possess the following qualities: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (preferably Engineering, Naval Architecture, Technical Communication, or similar). Native (or near-native) German speaker with strong English skills.
Comfortable with technical writing and document editing. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general digital tools.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized. Interest in naval technology or working in an international high-tech environment is a plus.Excellent references antecedents as a pre-assignment security screening is part of the recruitment procedure.
Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible given the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
