You'll win the clients that shape where Journey Further goes next.
As a Growth Director, you're the senior point of contact for our highest value new business opportunities. You'll own deals from the first conversation to the signed contract: qualifying, building the story, pitching, negotiating and closing.
This isn't a hand-off role. You'll build relationships that last well beyond a single pitch, bring our specialists together around a sharp commercial narrative, and represent us in the rooms where ambitious brands decide who they trust with their growth.
You'll work closely with Caitlin Halpert and with leaders across our channel, strategy and creative teams to make sure every deal we win is scoped well, priced well and set up to succeed.
What you will do
Personally lead and close high-value new business opportunities, typically £200K+ in annual contract value, as the senior point of contact through the whole sales cycle
Qualify inbound leads quickly and honestly, making sure a prospect's needs, budget and ambition fit what we do best
Shape every pitch around the prospect's commercial problem, not a list of services, and lead the room when it counts
Negotiate commercials and contract terms with confidence, protecting both the client relationship and our margin
Keep an accurate, up-to-date pipeline in HubSpot so the business can forecast with confidence
Build genuine, long-term relationships with prospects and contacts across our ideal client profile, including senior marketing, digital and commercial leaders
Act as a trusted advisor, using in-depth knowledge of performance marketing, SEO and the shifting discovery landscape to bring real insight to every conversation
Stay close to contacts long before and long after a deal, so you're the first call when they're ready to move
Represent Journey Further at industry events, roundtables and conferences, and turn those conversations into opportunities
Manage multiple pitches at once, keeping cross-functional teams aligned on deadlines, story and process
Bring the right specialists into each pitch and give them a clear brief, so the team shows up as one
Craft compelling narratives and presentations for C-suite audiences, and coach others to land them
Work with channel and finance leads to agree scope and pricing that's ambitious, deliverable and profitable
Share what you learn from wins and losses to sharpen our proposition, pricing and pitch approach
Strong knowledge of performance marketing, ideally having sold integrated paid media and SEO (This is vital)
A genuine relationship builder: you invest in long-term relationships, not just transactional deal-making
A proven track record of consistently beating new business targets, for example £2-3M+ in annual contract value won each year
Agency new business experience, selling services rather than products
Superior writing and presentation skills, with a track record of building compelling narratives for C-suite audiences
Confident commercial judgement on scope, pricing and negotiation
