Rosie's People is recruiting a fractional HR Manager on a self-employed consultancy basis, 6–8 hours/week, to deliver day-to-day HR support to multiple clients. The role is explicit about being non-permanent and consultancy-focused; candidates must hold CIPD Level 5+ and provide their own hourly rate upfront. This is a well-structured, brand-conscious engagement with clear expectations around independence, escalation discipline, and professional delivery.

The balanced verdict

Why this role stands out
  • Explicitly fractional from the outset; no ambiguity about employment model.
  • Self-employed/limited company basis allows tax flexibility and portfolio building.
  • Clear scopeoperational HR support, ER matters, compliance, recruitment coordination.
  • Established delivery model and strategic oversight from founder Rosie Hewat reduces isolation.
  • Immediate start and flexible scaling during client peaks.
Worth checking before you apply
  • 6–8 hours/week is genuinely part-time; income likely modest unless hourly rate is high.
  • CIPD Level 5+ and 5+ years' ER experience are hard filters; not an entry-level role.
  • Candidate must supply hourly rate upfront in application; no negotiation signalled.

This is not a training opportunity. We're looking for someone who can confidently step into client environments, represent the Rosie's People brand professionally, and deliver high-quality operational HR support from day one.
