Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Manchester for Fractional Finance Directors supporting multiple SME clients. The role involves leading financial planning and analysis, overseeing management accounts, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting to support decision-making. Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, cash flow, and budgets, identifying performance trends, and recommending actions to improve profitability and growth. The Fractional Finance Director will advise on funding, capital allocation, and risk management, while strengthening financial controls and accounting processes. Day-to-day work includes partnering with business owners and senior leaders, presenting financial insights, and helping design and implement growth strategies across the client portfolio. Qualifications Strong Finance expertise, including financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management. Proficiency in Accounting principles and practices, with experience overseeing management accounts. Ability to interpret and prepare Financial Statements and use them to drive strategic decisions. Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting data, identifying trends, and developing actionable insights. Clear, confident Communication skills to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders. Professional accounting or finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred. Experience as a Finance Director, Senior Finance Manager, or similar leadership role within SMEs. Comfort working across multiple clients, managing priorities, and adapting to different business models. Competence with financial software, ERP systems, and Excel for reporting and analysis. Demonstrated ability to build trust with stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
