Rypples is the growth engine to scale ocean innovation. Built by two unicorn founders, we believe the only true generational wealth is the planet we pass on to our children.

We have the solutions, we just need to scale them. What those currently lack is the capital and the operating muscle to scale. Venture funds are built for short cycles and power law, and with AI and defense absorbing a growing share of capital, institutions are looking elsewhere. Growth-stage companies are left in the gap, and that gap won’t close itself.

Rypples is not a fund but an operating holding company. We invest off our own balance sheet, with the flexible mandate and founder-operator experience to support companies and drive execution excellence from early growth stage through to scale.

In the last 18 months, we have invested in 13 amazing companies across five verticals: Ocean Health, Ecosystems, Data, Maritime and Blue Foods. In ten years, Rypples will have deployed $1bn into 100 ocean-positive solutions and established a new capital model for scaling impactful innovation.

02Job Description

Scaling ocean innovation requires a different model, not just for capital, but for how we help founders scale.

Most investors scale portfolio support the old way: more people, more meetings, more decks. The team grows with the portfolio, and nothing compounds. We’re doing the opposite and building Rypples as an AI-native company.

03What you’ll own

Rypples, AI. A system of agents doing the heavy lifting, and people free to do: judgment and relationships. Sourcing, diligence, investor relations, finance: every function runs on people and agents you design, deploy and manage. Rypples becomes the proof of concept, and the portfolio learns from it.

Operating partners. We work with two kinds: board-level partners who each look after one portfolio company, and Experts in People, Go-To-Market and Finance who work across the portfolio. You find them, onboard them, and give them the context, tools and agents to make a difference.

Growth Readiness and Ocean Scalers. Growth Readiness is how we work side by side with founders to turn technology that works into a company that sells. Ocean Scalers is our peer-to-peer program for ocean CEOs. Our team and partners do the work with founders. You make the programs run: the design, the cadence, the right people in the room, and an agentic system handling the prep, follow-through and capture.

RypplesOS. Every board meeting, engagement and session should make us smarter. You turn our experts and playbooks into an operating system that learns.

Value creation. You see where a company is stuck, you step in, and you help it become AI-native too.

Reporting that writes itself. Shareholder reports and portfolio dashboards come straight out of the system. Nobody chases spreadsheets.

04Qualifications

You are a Chief of Staff in founder mode: you have worked side by side with a founder-CEO at a fast-growing startup, or built something yourself.

You move fast and build fast. You ship a working version in days, not a plan in weeks.

You are deeply AI-proficient. You have built agents and workflows that changed how a team works, and you use AI in everything you do.

You are credible with CEOs, founder-operators and senior talent, and you communicate at executive level.

You have run programs that founders valued, with strong cadence and follow-through.

You are driven by ocean- and planet-positive impact.
