Experienced Business Development Manager – Accounts Receivable Management

Build relationships. Create opportunities. Grow a book of business.

Bull City Financial Solutions (BCFS) has been providing Accounts Receivable Management services since 1975. We serve organizations across Healthcare, Utilities, Government, Financial Services, and other regulated industries, combining the experience and resources of an established company with the flexibility to pursue new opportunities and markets.

We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who knows how to create opportunities, develop relationships, and turn those relationships into long-term business. This position is based in our Durham, NC office, with some flexibility for remote work.

This isn't a role built around scripts, assigned leads, or constant supervision. We provide the resources, operational expertise, and support. You'll have the latitude to identify opportunities, develop your market, build relationships, and grow your portfolio using the approach you believe will produce results.

You own the opportunities you pursue, the relationships you develop, and the book of business you build.

The Opportunity

This role is designed for an experienced business developer who wants meaningful ownership of their work and results.

You'll work directly with company leadership and our operational teams while developing your own network, pipeline, and book of business. You'll represent an established company with more than 50 years of experience while having the freedom to pursue new relationships, markets, partnerships, and opportunities.

Your success directly contributes to the growth of BCFS and to your own earning potential.

Six-figure total compensation potential as your portfolio grows

Paid holidays and time off

  • Responsibilities & Expectations

Identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop relationships with prospective clients, decision-makers, consultants, referral partners, and industry contacts.

Build, maintain, and grow a strong pipeline and long-term book of business.

Seek out relevant RFP opportunities and manage the RFP response process, developing comprehensive, competitive proposals that effectively communicate BCFS's capabilities and value.

Understand prospective clients' operational and financial needs and position BCFS services accordingly.

Develop and deliver effective in-person and virtual presentations to prospective clients and decision-makers.

Build and nurture referral and strategic partnerships that generate new opportunities.

Attend business and industry conferences to develop relationships, expand your network, and identify new opportunities.

Manage opportunities from initial prospecting and relationship development through proposal, negotiation, and close.

Stay current on industry developments and continue building expertise in Accounts Receivable Management and the industries BCFS serves.

Serve as a business development expert within BCFS, working with leadership and operational teams to identify opportunities and develop solutions for prospective clients.

What We're Looking For

3+ years of successful business development or sales experience, preferably in Accounts Receivable Management, collections, revenue cycle, Healthcare, Utilities, Government, Financial Services, or a closely related industry.

Demonstrated ability to independently generate opportunities, build relationships, and close business.

Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Strong industry relationships or an established professional network are highly valued.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to confidently engage executives and senior decision-makers.

Strong organization and the discipline to manage a long-term sales pipeline.

Experience with CRM platforms and standard business productivity tools.

Bachelor's degree preferred; significant relevant professional experience may substitute.

Ability to work primarily from our Durham, North Carolina office. This is an office-based position with some flexibility for remote work.

Ready to Build Something?

We're not looking for someone to simply manage incoming leads. We're looking for someone who knows how to find opportunities, develop relationships, pursue business, and build a portfolio over time.

If you're an experienced business developer who wants the freedom to determine how you build your market, the support of an established company behind you, and the opportunity to directly benefit from what you create, we'd like to hear from you.
