Revenue Operations Manager

  • Permanent Full-Time | Hybrid | Sydney preferred, other locations considered

Who We Are

At Torrens University Australia, we do things differently. We believe education should connect people with opportunity and prepare them for real life.

As part of Torrens Global Education Services, our Future Students & Growth team connects prospective students with study options that can transform their futures. Behind that work sits a complex commercial engine spanning sales, marketing, admissions, technology, data and student operations.

We’re now looking for our first dedicated Revenue Operations Manager to help us build the next generation of that engine.

What’s the Job?

This is not a traditional reporting or data analyst role.

As Revenue Operations Manager, you’ll own the systems, data, processes, forecasting and commercial insight underpinning student recruitment and revenue performance across our education portfolio.

You’ll establish a trusted source of truth across the Future Students & Growth function, connecting the entire journey from enquiry through application, enrolment and census to revenue.

You’ll combine commercial thinking, sales operations expertise and technical capability to help leaders understand not only what is happening, but why it is happening, what is likely to happen next, and what we should do about it.

As our first dedicated RevOps hire, you’ll have a genuine opportunity to build the function from the ground up.

Key Points About This Role

Revenue Forecasting & Commercial Modelling

Build forecasting models across acquisition, study load, attrition, retention and census-surviving revenue to improve predictability and commercial decision-making.

Performance Insight & Incentives

Own reporting across productivity, conversion, pipeline, targets and incentives, turning complex performance data into clear actions for leaders and teams.

Funnel & Channel Economics

Understand where value is created or lost across the enquiry-to-census funnel and analyse conversion, velocity, attribution, agents and channel return.

CRM, Systems & Data Governance

Own and optimise the Future Students technology environment, including Salesforce, integrations, automation, data quality and reliable metric definitions.

Process Improvement & Revenue Enablement

Design better processes, remove manual friction and establish the operating rhythm, documentation and systems that help sales teams perform at their best.

Who You Are

  • You are commercially curious, technically capable and naturally action-oriented.

You don’t just produce reports—you understand how sales functions operate, recognise the commercial story behind the numbers and can translate insight into action.

You’ll bring:

Revenue or Sales Operations Experience

At least five years’ experience across Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, commercial analytics or a comparable systems and insight environment.

Strong Commercial & Sales Acumen

A strong understanding of sales funnels, conversion, pipeline, forecasting and performance measures, with the ability to connect activity to commercial outcomes.

CRM & Automation Expertise

Hands-on ownership of CRM platforms, ideally Salesforce, including configuration, automation, reporting and administration. Salesforce certification is highly regarded.

Advanced Analytics Capability

Advanced Excel skills and strong Power BI, Tableau or equivalent visualisation capability. SQL experience is strongly preferred.

Builder Mentality

You’re comfortable stepping into ambiguity, setting priorities and building something from the ground up. You move quickly, solve problems and enjoy operating in a high-performing environment.

You’ll also be confident presenting insights to senior and non-technical audiences, influencing stakeholders without formal authority and working with sensitive performance and remuneration information with discretion.

A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Analytics, Information Systems or a related discipline—or equivalent practical experience—is expected.

Experience within higher education is not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who bring strong commercial Revenue Operations or Sales Operations capability from other industries.

Experience with commission structures, multi-period revenue forecasting, complex sales channels or regulated environments will be highly regarded.

Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to join a function at the beginning of its Revenue Operations journey.

Rather than inheriting a mature operating model, you’ll have the opportunity to shape it.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders across Future Students & Growth, Marketing, Admissions, Finance, Technology, Data & Analytics, People & Culture and Student Administration to create better visibility, stronger forecasting and more effective commercial decision-making.

The environment is fast-moving and ambitious. Priorities can change quickly, and we value people who can understand what matters, act decisively and deliver.

If you enjoy solving complex commercial problems, working across systems and data, and seeing your insights directly influence business performance, this role offers considerable scope to make an impact.

What We Offer

  • A permanent, full-time opportunity within Torrens University Australia
  • Hybrid and flexible ways of working
  • The opportunity to establish and shape a new Revenue Operations capability
  • Exposure to senior leaders and commercially significant strategic projects
  • A collaborative environment where experimentation, continuous improvement and new ways of working are encouraged
  • Professional development and opportunities to grow across Torrens Global Education Services
  • Sydney is the preferred location for this role; however, we are open to considering an outstanding candidate based in another suitable location.
  • Occasional interstate travel may be required.
