We’re seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Remote Business Development Manager.

You will be responsible for delivering acquisition plans for their associated panel of brokers and maximising opportunities identified with HSBC’s chosen partners.

The role involves developing, growing and managing relationships with external intermediary partners within a specified broker panel. This is delivered through a hybrid working model, combining time in the office with remote activity, including telephone calls and virtual meetings with clients and broker partners. The growth element of the role is particularly important to ensure mortgage lending opportunities within identified third-party accounts are achieved.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving team within the Bank and contribute to the continued success of a high-performing, award-winning team.

The role provides the opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing business and drive growth within the Intermediary Mortgage market. You’ll also have access to tailored professional development opportunities and HSBC’s benefits package.

In this role you will:

Proactively drive business from broker partners by understanding their business and demonstrating how our products and policies suit the needs of their clients.

Support the commercial, product and proposition elements of new and existing partnerships by providing feedback to Buying a Home colleagues to help shape the proposition continuously.

Ensure consistent delivery of a superior customer experience and service level for external intermediary partnerships.

Influence stakeholders at all levels to help deliver mortgage acquisition forecasts, managing multiple relationships with external stakeholders.

Manage risk effectively by adhering to relevant regulation and conduct risk requirements.

Monitor sales, credit quality and risk key performance indicators across external partner relationships.

Ensure that all key controls are in place for third-party mortgage intermediary activity, as advised from time to time.

Maintain a strong revenue focus by using data to identify trends and opportunities for growth in previously untapped areas of business.

Work flexibly across office-based activity and remote client engagement, including telephone calls and virtual meetings.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Experience working in a relevant environment, such as financial services or a related discipline.

Experience working in the United Kingdom intermediary mortgage market or a relevant equivalent.

Previous experience in a relevant role, including managing relationships by telephone, both reactively through inbound calls and proactively through outbound calls.

Experience identifying and developing new business opportunities, influencing others and negotiating effectively.

Proven experience leading the delivery of excellent customer service and proactively identifying innovative ways to improve the service delivered to customers.

The ability to influence and collaborate effectively through strong communication, negotiation, persuasive presentations and solid internal and external networks.

The ability to motivate and support others through clear direction and encouragement to deliver strong, long-term results.

A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services, together with experience of working within them.

A track record of successfully identifying and developing significant or complex business propositions that attract and retain customers in a fair and ethical way.

Comfort working towards financial and performance expectations, with a clear focus on delivering results.

The ability to shape strategy and analyse data to uncover opportunities and drive growth.
