Full-time Finance Director, Sacro
FULL-TIME FD JOB · NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS SECTOR · SCOTLAND, UNITED KINGDOM

Sacro, a Scottish non-profit, is hiring a Director of Finance—titled fractional but described as full-time hybrid in Edinburgh. The role owns strategic financial leadership, budgeting, reporting, and board support, but the contradiction between title and job description creates ambiguity about actual engagement structure and commitment expected.
Full-time Finance Director — the balanced verdict
Why this role stands out
- Genuine employer (Sacro, in-house recruiter named)
- Mission-driven non-profit environment with clear values alignment
- Hybrid flexibility (Edinburgh-based, work-from-home options)
- Strategic scope — budgeting, reporting, controls, board engagement, not just transactional
Worth checking before you apply
- Title says 'Fractional' but description reads 'full-time hybrid'—no days/week, hours, or fractional fee structure stated; unclear if this is part-time executive or a labelling error.
- No salary, day rate, or fee band disclosed; non-profit budgets often tighter.
- Hybrid arrangement stated but primary base is Edinburgh; remote eligibility unclear for out-of-region candidates.
