Full-time Operations Manager — the balanced verdict
Why this role stands out
- Clear operational scope — calendars, reporting, data integrity, martech configuration and adoption sit squarely in one role.
- Established company with defined structure (Marketing & Growth Director reporting line, Finance, Sales, Events, Content partners).
- Multi-channel and multi-brand complexity (events + affiliate) signals real operational challenge and career development.
- Explicit tool fluency expectations (GA4, HubSpot, Looker Studio, monday.com) make scope concrete and measurable.
Worth checking before you apply
- No salary or day rate stated; compensation opaque.
- "Head of" title with operations-only scope may feel middle-office rather than true directorship to ambitious fractional leaders.
- Embedded presence required (cross-departmental intake, stand-ups, WIPs, retros) makes part-time or fractional arrangement unlikely to succeed.

The Role
Marketing & Growth runs across a portfolio of international B2B events and B2C affiliate brands. That means lots of campaigns, channels, deadlines and stakeholders, all moving at once. This role is what keeps it moving in the same direction. You will own the operational delivery of every marketing project, the marketing calendars, performance reporting, data, martech and attribution, and budget governance. You are the link between Marketing and every other department, and the reason we deliver on time, on budget and on numbers.
What You'll Actually Do
Support the Marketing & Growth Director — Act as the Director's right hand on planning, priorities and performance. Prepare the reporting, budget views and updates the Director needs, follow through on decisions, and keep the wider team aligned and moving.
Own Delivery Across the Portfolio — Take ownership of how every marketing project gets delivered across events and affiliates: briefs, timelines, owners, dependencies and sign-off. Nothing ships late because nobody owned it.
Run the Marketing Calendars — Build and maintain the master marketing calendars across the event portfolio and affiliate brands, working back from event dates and launch windows, so the whole team can see what is coming, who owns it and when it is due.
Build One Version of the Truth — Own performance reporting end to end: dashboards, weekly and monthly reporting, campaign wrap-ups and post-event reports. Define the KPIs, standardise how we measure and turn the numbers into decisions for the Director and leadership.
Fix Data and Attribution — Own tracking, UTM governance, analytics and CRM data quality, and the attribution model. We should know which channel drove which ticket, sponsor lead or affiliate conversion, and how much it cost.
Run the Martech Stack — Own our marketing tools (including HubSpot, GA4, Looker Studio, Supermetrics and monday.com): configuration, integrations, automations, licences and adoption. Make the stack simpler and more useful, not just bigger.
Govern the Budget — Own budget tracking, forecasting, spend and invoice logging, and reconciliation with Finance. Spot over- and under-spend early, and make sure every budget line has an owner and a reason.
Be the Link Between Departments — Run marketing request intake and prioritisation, own the team's operating rhythm (stand-ups, WIPs and retros), and keep Sales, Events, Content and Finance clear on what Marketing is doing and when.
Who You Are
You have run marketing operations at scale — Six or more years in marketing operations, growth operations or programme management. Ideally this includes multiple brands, events or a multi-channel agency.
You live in the data — You are fluent in GA4, tracking and attribution, dashboarding (Looker Studio or similar) and CRM (ideally HubSpot). You can build the report and explain what it means to people who don't read reports.
You are commercially literate — You are comfortable with budgets, forecasts, cost per acquisition, ROI and ROAS, and you can defend a budget line or cut one.
You build systems that stick — You create processes, templates and workflows that people actually use, in monday.com or a similar work-management tool.
You get things done through people who do not report to you — You can align marketers, designers, sales, events and finance around one plan and one set of deadlines.
You stay calm when the date can't move — Events have fixed deadlines. You plan backwards from them and protect them.
Bonus — Experience in iGaming, events or affiliate marketing.
