Vortexa seeks an experienced Customer Success Manager for their EMEA energy/commodities team. This is a standard full-time, hands-on CSM role focused on adoption, user mapping, retention and value realisation for data-product clients. Not a fractional or interim opportunity.

01

  • No salary or day-rate disclosed; market rate for London CSM in fintech/energy typically £45–65k FTE

  • The Role:

Vortexa is hiring a Customer Success Manager to join our EMEA account teams in London. You'll make sure every user at our clients, current and future, gets real value from Vortexa.

You'll own adoption and value for your book of business, working with each Account Manager as one account team. You'll know the users inside every account: who they are, how they work, how they use Vortexa across platforms, API and MCP, and where new needs and teams are emerging.

Your job is to enable users and to be the account team's best source of insight into how clients' needs are changing. The Account Manager, with whom you’ll partner, turns that insight into commercial action.

This is a hands-on role for someone commercially curious, credible with end-users, and comfortable building process where none exists yet.

What you'll do:

Drive onboarding and time to value. Run onboarding plans for new clients and new users, covering both UI analytics platform and API/integration workflows.

Know every user. Build and maintain a user and buying-center map for each account: who uses Vortexa, how, how often, and which desks, teams or regions don't use it yet.

Deepen adoption. Turn client goals and workflows (trading, chartering, analytics, quant) into success plans and use cases, and review them with champions every quarter.

Protect retention. Monitor account health and usage, act early on risk, and give the Account Manager a usage and value case at least 120 days before each renewal.

What you'll bring:

4+ years in energy, commodities or shipping markets, ideally as an analyst, trader, charterer, broker or operator working hands-on with market and vessel data. We'll also consider customer success or account management backgrounds where you've supported technical, analytical users of a data product in these markets.

Experience in energy, commodities or maritime markets, or with a data or API product used by technical and analytical buyers.

Technical fluency, or the willingness to learn, when talking credibly about APIs, data integrations and how analyst teams consume data.

The ability to build trust with front-line users (traders, analysts, charterers) and with senior decision-makers.

A data-driven approach: you use usage data and CRM to prioritize your time and show clients the value they get.

Nice to have:

Working knowledge of Python or SQL

  • Familiarity with AI tools, agents or MCP in data workflows
  • Enjoy flexible hybrid working – split your time between home and our office, with the freedom to work where you’re most productive.
  • A vibrant, diverse company pushing ourselves and the technology to deliver beyond the cutting edge
  • A team of motivated characters and top minds striving to be the best at what we do at all times
  • Constantly learning and exploring new tools and technologies
  • Acting as company owners (all Vortexa staff have equity options)– in a business-savvy and responsible way
  • Motivated by being collaborative, working and achieving together
  • Private Health Insurance offered via Vitality to help you look after your physical health
  • Global Volunteering Policy to help you ‘do good’ and feel better
