12-month fixed-term full-time Account Manager role at IMCD Group, a €4.8bn global chemicals and ingredients distributor. Remote-based in Beauty & Personal Care, managing a portfolio of existing customers and developing new business through CRM, email, phone, and occasional field visits. Not an executive or fractional position.

01

Full-time SDR — the balanced verdict

Why this role stands out

  • Genuine 12-month contract clarity (not vague); employer direct (IMCD is publicly listed, Euronext Amsterdam)
  • Technical + commercial blend valued (science degree or equivalent industry background)
  • Structured progression pathway in multinational; team-driven culture emphasis ('Element [E]')
  • Remote-first model with occasional travel; Salesforce and modern B2B portal experience

Worth checking before you apply

  • Entry-level or mid-market Sales Development role, not leadership; no executive authority, KPI ownership only
  • Heavily administrative (Salesforce data entry, quotations, follow-ups); high process burden alongside selling
  • 12-month fixed term may or may not convert to permanent; unclear progression after contract end
