Senior Finance SLT member reporting to CFO; accountable for group consolidation, controls, statutory reporting and finance modernisation across complex multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction structure. Not explicitly fractional
How to pitch the fractional angle
The employer advertised a conventional role, but the signals below suggest the work could be done on a fractional or interim basis. Here's how to open that conversation.
- SIGNALHybrid model and 'minimum 2 days per week in office' language could hint at flexibility if negotiated, but posting is explicitly full-time 35 hours
- SIGNALNo mention of maternity/parental leave or typical permanent benefits, though role is framed as permanent — ask HR for clarity
Suggested pitch angle
If candidate is an experienced Group Financial Controller considering a portfolio approach: explore whether MSI would accept a structured arrangement (e.g. 3–4 days/week retained CFO advisory + internal SLT engagement) rather than full-time. Unlikely to be receptive, but worth a soft conversation with the hiring CFO about secondment or embedded fractional leadership given the complexity.
