the role
As a FinOps Manager Contractor, you’ll work directly with founders and leadership teams at startups and scaleups to deliver impactful finance and operational solutions.
Your general scope of work will include:
Managing accountancy and finance operations for multiple UK startups and scaleups.
Identifying and implementing scalable solutions to automate and optimize systems and processes.
Build collaborative relationships with external partners and RORA's own FinOps team.
Mentoring and develop RORA's international FinOps Associate team.
You can expect to work fractionally (1–3 days per week per client), supporting several exciting businesses across a typical week.
your experience
- 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting (startup/scaleup experience mandatory.)
- Professional finance credentials (e.g., ACCA, ACA or CIMA) preferred.
- Confident in producing management reporting and implementing financial processes.
- Experience with cloud-based financial software typically used by startups (e.g., Xero) and tools such as Dext, Pleo or similar.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships.
