Company: Havenova Home Care Solutions

Position: Business Development Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Field-Based / Hybrid (Regional Travel Required)

At Havenova Home Care Solutions, we deliver compassionate, high-quality non-medical and skilled home care services across our communities. Our comprehensive service offerings range from personalized Private Pay personal care and companionship to Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Care Network (CCN) programs and Medicare-aligned skilled support. In addition to standard home care, Havenova provides specialized healthcare staffing solutions for facilities and medical non-emergency transportation services for our clients.

We are seeking an ambitious, high-performing Business Development Director to spearhead our market growth, foster strategic referral networks, and drive growth across our diverse line of home care, staffing, and transportation services.

Position Overview

As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing targeted sales strategies to grow Havenova’s client base. You will establish and nurture high-impact relationships with hospital discharge planners, VA medical centers, social workers, elder law attorneys, senior living facilities, and healthcare administrators.

The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise in Private Pay Home Care, a strong understanding of Medicare home health transitions, experience navigating Veteran Affairs (VA) home care benefits (Aid & Attendance / CCN), and the ability to promote our supplementary staffing and transportation divisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Referral Network & Community Outreach

Build & Maintain Referral Sources: Identify and cultivate key relationships with local hospital case managers, rehab centers, Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), VA clinics, elder care managers, and community leaders.

Private Pay Growth: Lead targeted outreach efforts to drive direct-to-consumer and private-pay leads, capitalizing on local networking and professional referral channels.

VA & Medicare Alignment: Work closely with VA medical center staff and Medicare post-acute transition teams to secure care referrals for eligible veterans and seniors returning home.

Cross-Selling Services: Promote Havenova’s full continuum of care, including supplemental facility staffing and specialized patient transportation services.

  • Strategy & Account Management

Territory Strategy: Develop a structured territory map and weekly contact strategy to consistently visit, present to, and follow up with high-volume referral partners.

Presentations & Educational Events: Organize and host lunch-and-learns, educational presentations, and sponsorship events for senior care professionals and families.

Pipeline Management: Utilize CRM tools to log interactions, manage client prospects from lead to intake, and maintain pipeline visibility.

Revenue & Sales Quotas: Meet and exceed aggressive monthly client acquisition, census, staffing contract, and revenue targets set by executive leadership.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

Required Experience

Home Care Industry Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of direct sales, business development, or liaison experience in the private pay home care sector.

Veterans Affairs (VA) Knowledge: Hands-on experience working with VA Community Care Network (CCN) programs, VA social workers, or helping families navigate VA Aid & Attendance benefits.

Medicare & Post-Acute Continuum: Solid working knowledge of Medicare home health care, discharge protocols, and hospital-to-home care transitions.

Diverse Service Promotion: Track record of selling or cross-selling complementary care services, such as healthcare staffing (CNA/LPN/RN placement) and client transportation.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Established book of business or healthcare referral network in the local market.
  • Deep understanding of private-pay client motivators, long-term care insurance (LTCI), and private funding options.
  • Strong closing, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Proficiency with sales CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or home care software CRMs) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
  • Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel daily within assigned territory.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Base Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
  • Uncapped Commission Structure
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Generous paid vacation, sick days, and company holidays.
  • Mileage & Expense Reimbursement: Full allowance for business travel and field outreach costs.
  • Career Growth: Leadership opportunities as Havenova continues to expand across regional markets.
