Job Summary:

We're looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join us on a part-time basis (4 days/30 HPW). This is a remote role with regular monthly travel to our Northampton office. This is not a role for someone who simply plans and hands off — you'll build product marketing strategy and then roll up your sleeves to bring it to life, tracking results and adjusting course as needed. We need a hybrid strategist-operator who can move seamlessly between big-picture positioning work and hands-on launch execution.

You'll own product marketing strategy and generalist coverage across the function, personally lead product launches end-to-end, and act as the operational link between Product, Sales, and Marketing to ensure strategy translates into commercial results.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development

  • Develop comprehensive product marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and growth targets
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insight gathering to inform positioning
  • Define target audiences, positioning, and messaging frameworks
  • Set measurable goals, KPIs, and success metrics for launches and marketing initiatives
  • Present strategic plans and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Strategy Execution & Launches
  • Translate strategy into detailed, actionable launch plans and marketing campaigns
  • Personally lead and manage product launches end-to-end — planning, cross-functional coordination, messaging, assets, and post-launch measurement
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for launch delivery
  • Monitor performance in real time, analyse results, and iterate on tactics to optimize outcomes
  • Report on launch and campaign performance against original strategic goals
  • Generalist Coverage
  • Fill gaps and cover competing priorities across the marketing function as needed during the engagement
  • Create and maintain messaging frameworks, positioning documents, and competitive battlecards
  • Enable Sales with the tools, training, and content they need to sell effectively
  • Support content development (case studies, sales decks, one-pagers, web copy)
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as priorities shift
  • Business Management / Operations
  • Take ownership of operational aspects of product marketing, including process efficiency and reporting
  • Work closely with Sales to align marketing activity with pipeline and revenue goals
  • Monitor performance data alongside marketing metrics to ensure strategy drives commercial outcomes, not just marketing KPIs
  • Act as a key operational link between Marketing and Sales, ensuring smooth handoffs and consistent messaging
  • Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven previous product marketing experience, ideally in B2B SaaS
  • Proven experience in marketing strategy development and hands-on campaign/launch execution
  • Track record leading product launches from strategy through delivery
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insight
  • Excellent project management skills — comfortable owning timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Exceptional writing ability, with a track record of conveying complex product ideas clearly and concisely
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, from leadership presentations to daily execution coordination
  • Understanding of sales pipelines, funnels, and revenue metrics — not just marketing KPIs
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales and Product teams
  • Familiarity with CRM/marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot)
  • Comfortable working remotely
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Attributes
  • Commercially minded — thinks beyond marketing metrics to revenue and business impact
  • Operationally rigorous — comfortable owning process and reporting, not just strategic or creative output
  • Adaptable — equally comfortable in strategic conversations and in the day-to-day detail of running launches
  • Self-starter — able to ramp quickly and work independently with minimal oversight
  • Collaborative — a natural bridge-builder between Product, Marketing, and Sales
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience in software sales, parking management, or people transportation sectors
  • Experience in a marketing role within the public sector
  • Prior experience in a contract, interim, or fractional capacity
  • Track record of building marketing strategy in a fast-growing or resource-constrained environment.

In return we will offer a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package including a discretionary bonus, private medical care, healthcare cash back scheme, private pension scheme, life assurance and income protection, a great holiday package including a buy and sell scheme, as well as many initiatives to support a healthy lifestyle.
