01

Full-time Operations Manager — the balanced verdict

Why this role stands out

  • Genuine employer posting; major, stable organisation (Mace, 5k–10k staff)
  • Senior leadership scope — programme-level controls, team management, stakeholder influence
  • Secure, long-term programme (Defence, air systems); high-assurance environment appeals to rigorous practitioners
  • Explicit openness to flexible/part-time discussion in closing line

Worth checking before you apply

  • Marketed as full-time, 40-hour baseline; flexible working invitation is vague and may not extend to true fractional engagement
  • Delayed start (early 2027) and security clearance eligibility gate; candidate may wait months for decision
  • No salary stated; cannot evaluate rate attractiveness
