Galliford Try (FTSE-listed construction/infrastructure) is hiring a Head of HS&E (Health, Safety & Environment) for their Asset Management division—a portfolio of five specialist engineering and maintenance businesses. This is a full-time, permanent senior leadership role reporting to the HS&E Director, requiring strategy-setting, culture leadership, compliance oversight and multi-business stakeholder management across the UK. The role balances governance rigour with commercial realism and supports M&A integration.

  • Broad strategic remit across diverse operational models (engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance, installation)
  • Board-level and hands-on dual capability valued; culture, governance and commercial balance all emphasised
  • Clear career development — senior leadership team, Environment Division visibility, wider Group community

Worth checking before you apply

  • No salary/day-rate stated; standard full-time posting with no explicit fractional or interim signal
