How quickly can you find candidates?

We typically present qualified candidates within 1-2 working days of receiving a detailed brief. Most searches are completed within 2-3 weeks from initial contact to candidate acceptance.

What types of roles do you fill?

We specialize in C-suite fractional roles including CFO, CTO, CMO, COO, CPO, CHRO, CISO, CIO, and CEO positions. We also place senior advisory and non-executive roles.

Do you work with startups and scale-ups?

Yes, we work with businesses at all stages - from pre-seed startups to PE-backed scale-ups and established enterprises. Our candidates have experience across different business stages and sectors.

Pricing & Fees

What are your fees?

Our success-based fees are 20% for standard roles (CFO, CTO, CMO, COO) and 30% for specialist roles (CISO, CPO, CHRO, CIO). Fees are calculated on the first year's total engagement value. No upfront costs - you only pay on successful placement.

Are there any upfront costs?

No. We operate on a purely success-based model. You only pay our fee when we successfully place a candidate who starts working with you.

What if the placement doesn't work out?

We offer a 90-day placement guarantee. If the engagement ends within 90 days for any reason related to performance or fit, we will provide a replacement at no additional cost.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes. For organizations hiring multiple fractional executives, we offer 5% discount for 2-3 placements per year and 10% discount for 4+ placements per year.

IR35 & Compliance

How do you handle IR35?

All our candidates are pre-assessed for IR35 compliance. We provide Status Determination Statements and ensure proper documentation. Most fractional executives work outside IR35 due to multi-client working patterns.

Who is responsible for IR35 determination?

For medium and large companies, the client is responsible for determining IR35 status. We provide guidance and documentation to support this process, but recommend professional advice for complex situations.

What makes fractional work different from contracting?

Fractional executives typically work across multiple clients, have defined statements of work, maintain business risk, and operate with greater autonomy - factors that generally support outside IR35 status.

Day Rates & Market Data

What are typical day rates for fractional executives?

Day rates vary by role, experience, and business stage. Our UK Market Rate Index shows CFO rates from £700-£1,400/day, CTO rates from £800-£1,500/day. We provide specific benchmarking for each search.

How are day rates determined?

Day rates are influenced by role seniority, sector expertise, business complexity, and market demand. We benchmark against our database of 1,000+ placements and current market conditions.

Do rates include expenses?

Day rates are typically exclusive of expenses. Travel, accommodation, and other business expenses are usually charged separately or included in the statement of work.

What information do you need to start a search?

We need details about the role, business stage, sector, specific challenges to solve, preferred days per week, budget range, and timeline. A 30-minute briefing call covers all requirements.

How many candidates do you typically present?

We present 2-3 pre-qualified candidates per search. Each candidate has been interviewed, reference-checked, and confirmed as available and interested in your specific opportunity.

Can I interview more candidates if needed?

Yes, if the initial candidates aren't suitable, we can present additional candidates at no extra cost until you find the right fit.

What support do you provide during interviews?

We coordinate all interviews, provide candidate briefing notes, gather feedback, and support the selection process. We also assist with contract negotiation and onboarding.
